The water downstream of the tailrace flows through the Marin River down to Bagmati river. The discharge of Bagmati River will be augmented by a more or less constant quantity diverted from Sunkoshi River which will facilitate a year-round irrigation in about 122,000 hectares of irrigable land in Bara, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari and Dhanusa districts |
